## About the guest

Jeffrey York of the University of Colorado at Boulder is the Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives, a Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, the Research Director for the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, and a Fellow of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute. Jeff’s teaching and research are focused on environmental entrepreneurship, which he describes as the simultaneous creation of ecological and economic goods. He is interested in how and why entrepreneurs create new products, services, and industries that reduce environmental degradation. He’s truly the OG on environmental responsibility. On his journey, he has held an extraordinary range of leadership positions in our journals and associations. He’s particularly known for his editorial contributions to the Journal of Business Venturing, which is now a primarily outlet for scholarship on innovation on issues relating to the environment. His research has appeared in a wide range of top journals, and his influence on the field continues to be profound.
