Christiane Bode is an Associate Professor of Strategy. Her research focuses on the micro-processes underlying the corporate social engagement of firms. First she seeks to answer how employees acting as entrepreneurs drive the corporate social engagement of firms and, second, she analyzes how firms can use the preferences of employees to create a strategic link to firm performance. In recent work, she has also begun to focus in emerging markets by examining for example how different firms engage with the newly implemented CSR law in India. In line with these research interest, she has also developed several teaching cases and serves on the editorial review board of Strategic Management Journal and Organization Science.
Christiane received by BA in Economics and Psychology from New York University (NYU) and she holds an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE) and PhD in Strategy from INSEAD.
